Ian Burrows is a traditional musician and respected advocate for the arts. He plays Highland bagpipes, Scottish smallpipes, and low and high whistles. His experience includes work with a range of traditional arts organisations including the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association of Northern Ireland and serving as a member of the steering group for Belfast’s successful UNESCO City of Music application. Ian brings strong experience from the community and cultural sectors, with a focus on inclusion, cultural identity, and civic engagement. His insight strengthens Belfast TradFest’s connections to city-wide cultural strategies and reinforces our role in delivering on Belfast City Council’s cultural ambitions.
