PATRICIA MURRAy

CO-DIRECTOR

Patricia Murray is an accomplished and highly sought-after arts producer with over 19 years’ experience delivering major cultural events across Ireland, the UK, and internationally. Since 2016, she has served as Festival Producer for Belfast TradFest, overseeing the growth of the festival into one of Ireland’s leading showcases of traditional music, song, and dance. Her work has been central to building the festival’s reputation for artistic excellence, operational efficiency, and community impact.

Patricia’s career spans music, theatre, visual arts, outdoor performance, and traditional arts, with particular expertise in large-scale cultural events and complex multi-stakeholder projects. She was Production Manager and Producer with Walk the Plank for Land of Giants (2012), one of the UK’s largest outdoor spectacles and part of the London 2012 Festival. She also served as Production Manager for Return of Colmcille (2013), scripted by Frank Cottrell Boyce, which was the highlight of Derry’s UK City of Culture year and winner of Best Outdoor Event at the 2014 UK Event Awards. Most recently, Patricia was Producer for Green Space Dark Skies (2022), a UK-wide commission as part of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK, engaging thousands of participants in transformative outdoor experiences.

In addition to her festival and event work, Patricia has significant experience in venue and operations management. She has managed large-capacity venues such as Belfast’s Odyssey Arena and Sydney’s Carriageworks, Australia’s largest multi-arts centre, where she honed expertise in programming, production, and audience development at scale.
